Steam changing Game Prices: A Rant
So, Garry's Mod is $10. Terraria is $15, and Team Fortress 2 is free to play now.
Why do these prices change?
Well, let's start with GMOD. First thing to be said is that the game is owned by Facepunch now, and they've decided "oh we want more money" so they've increased the price. Before, this game was $5, a great buy, but now it's just... not that good.
Terraria is $15 now because of this crappy update they did that adds a lot of "interesting" items and a minimap, but I'd prefer an older version. (UPDATE: I've tried the new Terraria update and it's not as bad as I thought)
Team Fortress 2 is free-to-play because there are two types of players: Premium and Free-To-Play. F2pers are basically pay-to-winners and premiums are also pay-to-winners (kinda).
So, in laymen terms, they make the price higher because they eat money for dinner, and it's transformed into f2p because it's actually shaped into a pay-to-win. The prices are lower because of those Steam Sales, and the same deal with the price higher: they still want your money.
